The countdown to the release of the Last Jedi is well and truly on. Kick starting the science fiction frenzy, last night saw the Midnight launch of some jaw dropping products as part of Force Friday, mark 2. For Star Wars fans, Force Friday is a big deal, with retailers across the country offering deals on the DVD’s, merchandise and collectables. Being an integral part of the delivery execution team in John Lewis Oxford Street store was a proper adrenaline rush.

As you can imagine, coordinating a midnight launch of a franchise of this size is no easy task and to be trusted by our clients to co-ordinate their needs behind the scenes and run front of house was a brilliant experience… especially now it’s over and it was such a massive success.

Dedicated fans, dressed in their very best Star Wars gear queued outside the doors from 10pm and they were not left disappointed by the incredible characters that both of our clients brought to life inside the store. The atmosphere within John Lewis was, excuse the pun, out of this world and we got a huge amount of satisfaction from seeing both teams from Sphero and Little Bits watching the results of their hard work unfold for products that are new to the market. Demonstrations were engaging and interactive and as you can see from the photos everyone truly entered the spirit of the event. Star Wars is alive and kicking and we loved every minute.

Our brand ambassadors did a brilliant job of embracing the theme, engaging with customers, demonstrating the products and actively posting on social media throughout the launch.
